Practical training in the Reservation Department
Description
For this internship in the Reservation Department a period of 3 to 6 months is required. Some of your duties will include; replying to inquiries, receiving and submitting individual and group reservations, price calculation of group and seasonal offers, issuing invoices, checking reservations, creating contracts with tour promoters, customer service by telephone, preparation of correspondence and translations into English and Spanish. Moreover, your daily workload will take place on the computer and most of the time you will correspond in Spanish.
You will work 40 hours per week with two days off. Accommodation and meals are provided by the hotel free of charge and you will receive €150 pocket money per month.
Requirements
You are studying Tourism, Hotel Management, Business Studies or something of a similar ilk and are planning to do an internship abroad in the hotel industry. If you decide to do an internship in the Reservations Department you should enjoy working on computers, be very communicative, reliable, motivated, hardworking and a natural team player. In addition, you need to be customer and service oriented, a good organiser and like communicating on the telephone. Furthermore, you’ll need to have good manners and treat your colleagues and superiors with respect. Besides that, you should have a friendly personna. You need to enjoy conversing with people and be open to new things. A good knowledge of English and at least a basic knowledge of Spanish is required for this position. If you fit this description then the Reservations Department is for you.
